PINE ISLAND ROAD TRAFFIC COUNTS

CLIENT: BROWARD COUNTY HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING | BROWARD COUNTY

The project included conducting a signal warrant analysis at the intersections of Pine Island Road and Forest Ridge Boulevard, and Pine Island Road and Alpine Woods Road, in accordance with guidelines outlined in the Federal Highway Administration publication entitled Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 2009 Edition, Chapter 4C, Section 4C.01 through 4C.10, and the Florida Department of Transportation Manual of Uniform Traffic Studies, 2021 Edition. The study also included conducting speed studies in the proximity of the study intersections, performing crash analysis studies, and performing an operation analysis using SYNCHRO 11 in the proximity of Pine Island Road and Forest Ridge Boulevard to determine the operational impacts of installing a traffic signal at this intersection.
