G94 MANAGEMENT & INSPECTION

Client: South Florida Water Management District | Palm Beach County

The G94A, G94C, and G94D water control structure refurbishment included the removal and replacement of the existing gates, headwalls, and wing walls. New culverts at G94D are 72 inches in diameter, 8 gauge, and of continuous corrugated aluminum. The epoxy coating was applied to the inside and outside of the culvert, and a filter sand (ASTM C-33) diaphragm was installed in the levee. The existing G94B and USFWS P1 pump station structures were removed entirely, and the L-40 levee was reconstructed to match the existing alignment and the 15-foot maintenance bench on the east side of the levee.
The scope of this project consisted of providing full construction management and inspection support services. RJ Behar also provided commissioning, final certifications, and review and approval of as-built drawings.
